Why would plumbers be involved in installing a central heating system (no A/C involved)?

could be for the oil lines or to properly install gas lines if a fuel fired furnace or boiler.

some locals require a licensed plumber to install same and don't allow a heat tec to do unless they are 'supervised' by an in-house (somewhere within the company structure) by a master plumber.
