Hello,

We have a nice big stone fireplace. Problem is the usual inefficiencies of fireplaces.

We don't have a glass cover in front, just a metal screen (so, all night, air goes up it).

I'm wondering, what's the best we can try to improve (a) how much heat it puts out, and (b) how to make it more efficient.

Wood stove insert?

Some type of cover that looks appropriate against a nice stone opening?

Fireback?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Steve
