We bought a former summer cottage and we're converting it to year round use. All the walls are 2 x 3 construction. To meet code for insulation we have to add a 1 x 1 and 1/2 strip to each stud. However, we don't own a table saw. Is there an accurate way to cut down 2 x 4s for what we need?
