I have an old central air system with both a thermostat and a humidistat, although, there are two separate controls. I would like to know how to remove the humidistat and maintain functionality? I live in an old condo in South Florida and these units used to be owned mostly by seasonal residents, so humidity was a factor, as many residents were only here for a few months out of the year. However, we live here year round and the ac is on almost continuously, making humidity a non-issue. We would like to remove the humidistat and maintain full ac function for the thermostat. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
