The blower motor quit working. The led light flashes about once a second. There is a humming noise when it tries to start. The fan spins freely also. Any ideas???
I was running my ac and woke up to an electrical smell. My ac was still running outside but not blowing any air. Iturned it off and turned on the fanand heard the relay kick over but the fan would not come on. I replaced the blower and it fixed the problem.
I also have the Trane XE 90 furnace and the blower is still working, but does hum for a moment at start up and then the noise goes away. Could the fan assembly be going bad?
