i have large finished basement in the house a i recently purchased in Northern NJ, unfortunately it is quite humid and stinks donw there so i have not been using it. I have been looking for ways to reduce the humidity and the off the shelf stuff is not doing it. I have central AC that is connected to the basement as well but i have not run it much this summer becuase it has not been that hot so i did not want to waste money. i feel like intsalling a humidex ($1500) or a sanidry dehumidfier ($2000) may be unwise investment given i have a central ac connected to the basement. Any thoughts?
