Central heat vs. space heater

I live in a single-wide mobile home, approx. 17'x84'. The inside label of the heat pump/furnace says 16.9 kw output. Now, is it cheaper to just close off a room and run a small 1200 watt space heater? I live in the DFW, TExas area.
