I have a lennox ghr26 gas furnace and I am needing to replace the condensate trap. However the trap's stems were glued into the condensate collar. Is there a way to remove the trap outside of breaking the stems off the trap? The stems were glued in using ordinary pvc glue...can this glue be heated, (i.e., electric heating gun, no flame) and become pliable to the point of letting go of the bond? Thanks for any comments and/or help.

You can cut the pipe out of the socket using a reamer.......check the bottom-of-the-page economy reamers here:
