We recently bought a 63 year old house with baseboard heaters. We do not know how old they are. They look pretty old. One of the heaters is malfunctioning. It periodically decides to work even if we shut it off from the thermostat. What might make that happen. Even when we shut off the power from the fusebox, then turn it back on, it continues to throw heat.

Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting?
