while attempting to wire my compressor to my generator i took all the panels apart to see the wiring on my generac 5000w 41.7 amp 120/240volt the output wires to the panel sockets i thought were simple 2 jumped through breakers and one jumped all three sockets on my craftsman 240v 1 phase 14 amp comp. i wired each breaker wire from the gen. to the sides of the comp. plug ond the gen. jumped socket wire to the center IT DOESN'T WORK and i know the generator has never failed on 120 and the comp. worked in my last house now i need both in my truck for mobile installations i'm really in a pinch any advice would be a mouth full if i can go make some money soon so i can eat
