Bvelectrical
I have a bi-level home with the family room finsihed downstairs. This room gets colder than the rest of the house so, years ago I installed electric base-board heat to suplement the forced hot air. I would like to know if there are any newer more efficant electric heaters that I could install. The 2500 watts does not do the job. There is a 20 AMP 220 circut with a wall mounted thermostat currently installed controlling the units. Also I was an electrician for 18 years so this will be an easy task once I find better heating units.

For a room 20x30, you would need about 5 KW @ 220 to heat the room. The 20 amp breaker,...I am not sure of.....
Locating a heater that looks nice and does the job is another thing. 5KW is aprox.17000 BTU.HR..........
