I have two switches (one in the house and one in the garage) that control the garage lights. I want to add an outlet for a shop light in the garage off of the garage switch. The garage switch has one red, one black, and one white, all connected to separate terminals. The garage switch ground is tied into the grounds of the other switch and outlet in the switch box. I installed the outlet and ran the wire back to the switch. How do I connect my hot, neutral, and ground wires to this switch so that it turns the outlet on and off, thus turning the light on and off?
