I recently changed 4 outlets from 2 prong to three prong. There was a neutral, hot and bare wire ground. Should this be a problem assuming the wires are correctly oriented?

Sounds like you've got it right. Just make sure the wires are on the right terminals: white (neutral) on silver, black (hot) on gold, and ground on green.
