I have installed many GFCI outlets in my home in the 2 bathrooms and the kitchen, and I am having problems with the 2 in the bathrooms. In each bathroom, the line wire comes into the outlet, which feeds the light switch. I wired the outlet according to the instructions, including grounding the outlet to the box.

The bottom outlet (load side) works fine, but as soon as I plug anything into the top outlet (line side), it trips. This is with or without the light turned on. I have swapped outlets with another GFCI with no help.

Any ideas?
