I recently installed a new drop ceiling (2 Ft. x 2 Ft. ceiling tiles)in my basement. I purchased Halo new construction recessed lighting cans. I would like to know if I can simply take my new construction recessed lighting cans, and extend the nailess bar hangers to hook onto the drop ceiling runners? Is their another or more professional way to install these can within my drop ceiling?
