My master bath outlet is connected downstream to a GFI outlet in a ajoining bathroom.

My problem is that my wife's hair dryer does not work on the outlet in the master bath but does on the outlet with the GFI.

All other things work on the master bath outlet.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Dear MR,
Just ran into this problem. Go to the outlet that it does work at. After shutting off the power, pull the outlet and look to see if the wires match. The problem is: The wiring from each separate lead must be parralell with each other. If not it would be the same as turning off a awitch.
