We recently moved into a new home here in So Cal and it’s time to put in a yard. The builder graded the yard (very steep) and put in a couple of drains that flow to the street.

Can you recommend a good book/website that would give me instructions on how to grade, install a drainage system and prepare the ground for a patio, gardens, etc.
