Yeah, they want an engineer out there. For what I don't know, they also said I need a master to be able to do that. My thought is that the less they know the better. They also charge you for pulling the meter. That a real incentive for people to go to the utility company. What I really need to do I guess is one of two things: Find a master that will work with me on this job or get of my lazy butt and look up wire sizing and pray I don't get caught.

What do you need the bigger service for? What kind of building is it for?

It's residential, They have a boat house with three boat lifts about 300' from the service. They also are putting in a pool and they just built a shop for with lots of saws and compressors. They can have another meter, but they want that for the guest house and shop on. They want the boat house and pool on the same as the main house. The main house is all electric and the panel is too full and will be too overloaded to add all that.

Jeez, with all the money those folks have for boats, boat lifts & boat houses, don't they have anything left over to hire a real electrician (I.E. one who is licensed, carries insurance, etc)?

Sorry, brother I'm SBCCI. Rumor has it that the man is going to make a state licence. The only reason we don't know is because of Houston. Do like a lot of guy do for Houston put an add in the paper.
