I HAVE USED a Rain Dispersal system FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS NOW IN MICHIGAN WITH NO PROBLEMS. THE ONLY THING IS THAT DURING THE WINTER, YOU MAY HAVE TO KNOCK SOME ICECLES OFF OF THEM ONCE IN AWHILE. SINCE I GOT RID OF THE CONVENTIONAL GUTTERS, I HAVE NOT HAD ANY MORE PROBLEMS WITH ICE DAMS, ETC, BUT MY NEIGHBORS SURE DID LAST WINTER. PLUS THEY ARE EASY TO CLEAN. ALL THAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS BLOW THEM OFF WITH YOUR LEAF BLOWER OR A GARDEN HOSE. BEFORE, I WAS UP AND DOWN ON A LADDER AT LEAST 4 TIMES A YEAR. PLUS NO MORE ROTTING WOOD ON THE FACIA BOARDS. I LOVE THEM. THE ONLY PLACE I DID NOT PUT THEM WAS ABOVE THE SIDE DOOR. I INSTALLED A 4 FOOT GUTTER TO KEEP THE RAIN FROM FALLING ON YOU WHEN YOU GO IN AND OUT OF THE HOUSE. YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE GOOD DRAINAGE AROUND THE HOUSE AND THAT THE GROUND IS GRADED TO ALLOW THE WATER TO FLOW AWAY. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT.
