I am trying to figure out the proper way to wire between 6 and 10 cans to the same switch. They will all be controlled by one dimmer switch. I think I need to use 3 conductor wire, but I am not exactly sure how the wires should run between the cans.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You only need 2 wire cable with ground if you bring the power into the switch then to the light fixtures.
Connect all the whites together at the lights and the switch.
Connect the black together at the lights.
Connect one black to each screw on the switch.
Connect all the grounds together in all the boxes.
Connect all the whites together at the lights and the switch.
