my home was built in 97, i am recently enclosing the carport and have had problems finding the vinyl siding to match. i don't know who produced the siding but have a number off the back. I am sure I'm not the only one to run into this problem. If anyone might know who produced 12040897msr97 type of siding it would be greatly appreciated. Or any other creative ideas about what else to do! thanks Mark

Going by that number is to hard. Check with builder and neighbors if they know the brand.You can also cut a piece off and take it to a Siding Contractors Showroom where they would have several brands on display.Match the profile and texture.
