I am in the process of buying a 2 family home. The 2nd floor only has two branch circuits, one 15-ampere and one 20-ampere circuits coming from the basement panel box. Needless to say, this is inadequate based on modern standards. In addition, some of the wiring is old. How do I fix this problem and approximately how much does this cost? I live in NY so the dollar amount should take this into account.
