We recently had new windows installed in our brick/wood sided home. The intstaller damaged and cracked some of the siding when the windows were installed. Some of the cracks are 1/2 inch wide. I do not want to fill them with caulk. I have seen some of the home improvement shows use an autobody style 2 part filler. Does this work or shoudl zi just use a standard wood putty to fill the cracks.
