i have a faulty switch for my hallway light, the light works off of 2 switches, one at the front of the hall, and one at the back. my question is, what type of switch do i need [what exactly is it called?]?. if it makes a difference, i suspect the main power feed comes into the switch thats faulty, as my kitchen light also has two switches, one of which is in the same box as the faulty hall switch [if that makes sense].

thanks in advance,

t

You're looking for a three-way switch.
