I purchased an above ground swimming pool timer on-line the specs said: Switch Rating – 20 Amp resistive or tungsten. I was under the impresion that I could plug a 20 amp pump into its GFCI, but when it arrived it was only rated for 15 amps (it made no mention of this on the web sits). Was I wrong to think it would work for my needs.
