we have two bedrooms upstairs that do not have any ceiling fixtures but they do have a light switch that controles a plug on the other wall. There is a attic above. We were wonting to put in ceiling fans with lights. This may sound stupid but, could we just disconect the wires from the plug outlet and pull it up the wall and accross the ceiling and use that wire to attatch the fan? If not could someone tell us step by step how to install them the correct way? from what wire to use and were to conect the wire and so on and so forth. Thank you

yes. I would keep the outlet and just jump off the outlett and fish the wire up the wall into the attic, then put where you need it.
