I had a sales rep from a big company at my home yesterday. He said his product was superior to the competition because it's manufactured from virgin vinil, as opposed to recycled. The company is fully bonded & insured, they also give lifetime warrantee but the price seemed high. Their installed price is about $10 per sq. foot of wall area.
Is this a right ballpark?

Thanks,

Sashka

I hope I'm not to late, but something that is very important is what part of the country do you live in???
$10 a sq ft is a whole lot of money.
I have 30 years experiance in Aluminum, Steel and Vinyl Siding, I do not sell the product, I only install the product, but I do know what it should cost. If you would like the correct information on buying Siding, leave your email address and I will respond within 24 hrs.
Good luck

Hi Sashka,

WOW!!! That hurts. If you pay me HALF that, I'll do it!

Depending on where you live, I see it costing about $3.00 - $4.50 per Sq. Ft. And depending, it may NOT include any 'demolition' of an existing exterior wall.

In short, what you need to do is shop around. Make sure you get an estimate in writing of 1) Materials used and 2) Labor costs and 3) Length of time.

Get a vinyl that's at least .044 in thickness. Anything less, IMO, is 'junk'.

My best to ya and hope this helps.

Gentlemen,

Thanks you for the answers!

I live in New Jersey, so I should probably on the high side of the estimates.

I should probably have added that the quoted price included all trimmings and they'll have 13 windows to work around. Also there's quite a bit of vegetation to deal with. Nevertheless, it seems like the price is way too high.

I'll add my e-mail address to my profile in case you wish to send additional info personally.

Thanks again,

Sashka
