I have posted a similar question before, but

if I have a 180 foot long 8/3 wire supply going from our house (200 amp service) to an out building - what is the max amps this wire can handle. i.e. what size breaker can I use for it.

To limit the voltage drop to 3% you are limited to 25 amps, because of the long distance.
