The prongs broke off the plug of a extention cord when it was jerked out of the wall! and they are still in the outlet! I know its a safety problem but I have no idea how to remove them or fix it and I'm scared of being electrocuted or a fire starting! What do I do?

Turn off the power to this circuit, then try using needle nose pliers to remove the broken pieces. If that doesn't work, replace the receptacle.
