Does it make sense to install a light motion sensor in an area of fairly high traffic?

I have them installed in the hallway but wonder if putting one in the kitchen is practical?

Do you wave your arms alot when you cook or eat at the table? My wife was in a bathroom with motion sensored lights. The lights went out on her in a few minutes. Not good when you are in a stall. In the home it is just an annoyance. I am sure you can adapt though, it will save energy, that is good.
