trying to compare pros & cons of vinyl vs. aluminum gutters.
this will be a do-it-myself job.
roofline is straight, approx 60ft. each side of house.
i've heard vinyl is easier to install, but i'm wondering about durability and longevity.
i'll also be replacing the facia.

thanks

My experience with do-it-myself vinyl is that it turns green with mildew.
I now have aluminum gutters (professionally installed, continuious) and no problem.

I think if you price out all of the parts needed to do vinyl or aluminum it will not be that much less than having seamless aluminum installed. Every joint is a potential leak, 60' is two end caps and seven to nine joints, depending on how you install the down spout drops.
I added a 17' x 20' Family Room with wet bar and brick wood stove surround and the ONLY things I hired out were the Carpet and the gutters.
