I only have 2 phone jacks in my whole house. The upstairs works just fine. The line downstairs doesn't have any dial tone. Can someone please help me get my phone line working?

this is hard problem to fix via a message board. Did you ever have dial tone in the trouble jack.
Open the jack and see if there are any loose wire connections.
Do you have a wire maintenace plan from you local phone company ? This would be covered that plan.
You may want to consider a wireless jack for the first floor. They work fine.
