I've been having a lot of issues getting some recessed lights to work. I just noticed that the wires that are attached to the light fixture are aluminum. I didn't expect it. I bought the lights at Ikea.

Just wondering could the aluminum wires together with copper 14/2 wire be causing my breaker to trip all the time?

If you are talking about the wire in the fixture look at the end of the wires where it has been cut.

I think that you will find a copper wire with a "tin" or solder coating.
