I want to connect two segments of 110Volt cable each having three wires (hot, neutral, ground) and I want to bury these 3 paired connections (i.e. hot-hot, neutral-neutral, ground-ground) about 10 inches below ground on my lawn (the cabled segments are currently about a foot below ground level). I heard there are some special weatherproof connector caps that one can use to make these connections. I am afraid that when I water the lawn somehow water will get into the connector caps and short out everything. Is there a safe way to do this connection and still keep the connection out of sight below ground?
thank you
