I have been replacing the older receptacles with newer ones throught my home.
Here is the issue...I removed an older recepltacle from my daughters room and I have a hot, a ground and 3 neutral wires??? This is the first time I have seen 3 neutral wires in a receptacle. I am guessing it has something to do with the light switch(not a 3 way)???
Can anyone tell me where the 3 neutral wires go on a receptacle and why I have 3???

How was the old receptacle wired?
The problem is that the existing wiring does not follow common standards. So it is impossible to tell you how to do it correctly.
It will take someone knowledgeable and with test equipment to figure out what is going one.

First, what makes you think they are 3 'neutral' wires? Color of wires? Voltage on them? What?
Give us a description of the wires, and how they come into the box. Are there 2 cables coming into the box, each with black/white/ground wires in the cable?
As a wild guess, this is (or was at one time) a switch-controlled outlet, where a switch near the door controlled a lamp plugged into the receptacle. And the cable you are seeing as 2 extra neutral wires is a switch-leg that was used to control this.
