I bought a border that is the self-sticking variety because it was the only pattern I really liked. Unfortunately, it is not sticking to the wall. The border I'm replacing was pasted to the dry wall, although I was able to remove it. I then primed the exposed dry wall. Is there anything I can do to get this border to stick?

By self-sticking what do you mean? Pre-pasted or a peel and stick? Pre-pasted needs to be activated with water.

What primer did you use? If it wasn't shieldz from zinsser, you need to size the drywall. Sizing is a powder you mix with water and apply to the wall before hanging paper.

Wallpaper stores have tubes of paste for borders. You may need one (or 2) of these.
