I am repairing a ceiling with round pattern that resembles (roughly) spokes. I have round brush on the end of a stick that I am told should do the job, but I seem to get a "sand texture" instead of the spoke pattern. I was told to push the brush up on the ceiling and twist it. Am I using the wrong tool? Or perhaps the wrong materials? (5 parts paint, 1 part dry wall mud)? Any help appreciated!
