After removing wallpape with DIF, I have gouged drywall. What can I do to fill in the gouges and smooth the drywall out before I prime it and paint it?

We ended up having all the walls and ceilings plastered.

Just use drywall mud and fill in all the gouges. Use 2 coats if needed and sand final one if rough. Good luck.
