Any suggestions on repairing a major crack that happens each year with humidity in the desert? We have an exterior adobe wall, which is pourous and expands and contracts with moisture from the humidity/dryness. That causes the joint where an interior drywall wall butts up to it to separate. The caulking I've tried works for a year or two, then fails and needs to be replaced. Also, on the adobe wall, there is a crack caused by settling. I've repaired it by digging out and then coating each side with an adhesive, then filling with a mortar based filler. It held for 3 years, and now is back! Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.
