We had to replace a 26" by 26" of ceramic tile behind our tub area. We would like to use the tile that had been their originally. What is the easiest way to get the leftover plaster and adhesive off of the tile?

A hammer and a stone chisel. I know of no easy way to do it except to smash and scrape it off.
