Greetings - I have a bathroom wall where I removed some old paper. The previous owners hung the paper right on the drywall without using any sizer or primer.. Needless to say after about 2 1/2 hours of soaking the paper with DIF, some of the drywall paper came off as well. What do i need to do to repair this - or do I even need to? The goal is to hang new paper, and I want to do it right. Thanks in advance for all replies!

Hi Drew,

I'm sure you can 'size' the walls first. To be sure, visit a Wallpaper Retailer. At worst, you can 'casually' fill in the damaged part of the wall before you put any sizing on. DO sand it smoothe, though, to remove any bumps. You don't have to make it look as nice as if you were painting it.

My best to ya and hope this helps.

Jay J, Thanks for the advice. I will use some light compound and then sand it down. Talk to you later!
