I need to purchase a compressor to spray textures on walls and ceilings. The gun at Home Depot has a 7 CFM 25 PSI minimum. In the real world is this really enough? Does a more powerful compressor help in any way?

Not sure how a compressor works. When a compressor says 6.2 CFM at 90 PSI does that mean I can turn down the PSI to get the minimum 7 CFI?

I also would like to use this compressor for with a finish nailer and framing nailer (just one at a time).

I am assuming the gun I can get at Home Depot is sufficient?
