I'm trying to do some touch up painting on walls that were painted six years ago. I don't want to repaint the entire interior of this home. Any pointers on how to do this and have the same areas blend with the rest of the wall?

First prime all the patches with a quality primer.
Now you are ready to paint.
The best chance you have is with some of the original paint. No two batches of paint will match so if buying new paint, expect some differences.
Even if you have paint left over from the last painting, it may not match. The paint may have gone bad, particularly if subject to freeze/thaw cycles. Also the walls may not be clean. Smoking and cooking can put a film on the walls.
It also depends on how the light strikes the wall.
