We recently had new siding placed on our house. This was expense siding that looks like cedar. The siding was placed on by a professional, but it continues to buckle. Does anyone know what would be causing this problem?

Thanks,

What type of siding is it?

It is an alcoa siding dutch lap that looks like a cedar. It is a dark brown, but I don't think the color would matter, or would it? It is one of their best sidings so I can't understand why this is happening unless it was not hung properly. What do you think?

It could be the color as dark vinyl siding can very hot and buckle. It also could be installed to tight to the house as vinyl siding is suppose to float so it can expand and contract.

The siding is definitely not too tight. It is loose enough to slide. Will keep in mind about the dark color because you are the second person who has mentioned about color.
Thanks for the help.
