I just pruchased a condo and I am in the process of removing 20 year old wallpaper that is present throughout the unit (what fun). If I ever accomplish this feat, I am planning on texturing the walls before painting. Can I apply the texture directly to the drywall or do I need to do some type of other prep job before firing up the texture gun? Thanks in advance for your help!

The first thing you will need to do is make sure all the glue/adhesive is off of the walls before you do anything. The walls will need to be prepared just like you would if you were going to paint them. Which means they will need patched and smoothed out from were the walls get torn up from removing the wallpaper and then primed. This will ensure the texture looks good for a long time.
