Im in a real dilema..i just peeled off the wall paper in my room, and now underneath it is vinyl wallpaper, i tore a corner of the vinyl paper to see whats underneath that, and to my surprise its not regular drywall but a steal plate..the house was built in 1930..Now by any chance is it possible to paint over the wallpaper or give it soem texture like plastering it over the vinyl paper? I have half the room peeled of and now im stuck.

Wow you have a steel plate for a wall.
You can prime over the wallcovering with an oil based primer and then paint it. You may not want ot texture it as the extra weight may pull part of the paper down.
what if i just tore the entire wall paper and leave the undelayment of the drywall, and prime that, and just texture paint the wall, would that work?
Sure you could do that but it depends on how bad the wall gets torn up from removing the wallpaper as if it is to bad it will have to smoothed out with drywall mud even before you texture. Also be sure to get all the adhesive off the walls as it will give you trouble later on.
now, if its a mud wall that i have, does it make a difference? i thought it was steel plate, i was wrong..the walls look like concrete material but its not.
