Removing oil paint from lead glass

I have repainted cabinets with lead glass inserts. I carefully taped all edges but the oil based paint still seeped thru in areas and will not come off. I tried paint thinner, acetone - nothing cut it. I tried to scrape it off and it showed every little scratch. What can I do?? HELP

Hardware stores sell a razor blade scraper. This works well if the glass is smooth.

Paint thinner and acetone won't touch dried oil paint.......lacquer thinner will......give it a try.

Be careful though - it will soften the paint you DON'T want to remove if you get it on there.....

Lacquer thinner is exactly what I needed - thanks! It's going to take me awhile but it is definitely softening and cutting the oil paint. Thanks for the great tip!
