We have just finished a room addition and have encountered many unexpected glitches. The most recent is with our aluminum siding. We began checking last year on whether we could find the correct color, and size which is Wedgewood Blue made by US Steel--now Alcoa. We have resorted to purchasing aluminum siding and painting it. Yesterday we found a dealer that is able to special order aluminum siding for us. This aluminum siding is rather expensive, as in the future we planned on residing our entire house with vinyl siding. Basically we are looking to purchase 9 square of 8" aluminum siding, but we cannot invest a lot, as with our addition we are working on a tight budget.

Would appreciate any suggestions or help in finding this siding at a reasonable cost.

If you are planning to do the reside soon, why don't you use vinyl on the addition now? If you are looking for a simular color to the Wedgewood Blue you have now, look at Alside for the vinyl. They have a Harbor Blue vinyl which is very close and should be less expencive.

Good Luck

If it's really temporary, I think I'd use inexpensive composition siding and paint it to match the rest of the house.
