first off thank u so much for your wonderful advice. I am also having problems with dripps and sags. I am using a small amount on my brush to try to minimize this but it isn't helping. also can is still use the sealer after using all that varnish? thanks in advance for any help u can give me.

No you can not use the sealer over the finish as it will not do any good and may not adhear either. It sounds as if you are putting the finish on to heavy and that is why you have sags or you just need to go back and check it before it dries to much and take care of them then.

I like using h irshfields 1 hour varnish if I have to do this by hand a sealer is exactly as it says seals the wood if you already used a product you cant use sealer as it does no good.
Why it is rough for you have no idea as to I can't see it and you are doing everything correct it sounds like.
