I need to replace 2 fascia boards that are rotting. What type of wood is best for this (or what wood should I stay away from) ? The rotting boards were replaced only 2 years ago so I assume substandard wood was used. Thanks
Craig

Are you going to pain?
Or stain it?
If you are painting it you make sure you get a good exterior primer use 2 coats and then put on 2 coats of paint, this should let you use any wood you would like.
The kind of wood has nothing to do with how long it lasts, how you protecet it does.
